Favorite non-reading activity?

My favorite non-reading activity is surfing. It’s something I learned later in life and it has been the most humbling and the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

Is there a work of art that you love. Why? Have you ever visited it in person?

I have always loved the birth of Venus by Botticelli. I was able to visit it at the suffix I Gallery in Rome near the end of high school. All of the beauty, the myth, the powerful story it represents is mind blowing in person. Standing in front of it was like opening a door to a portal to another realm.

Vacation druthers… City or Rural destination? Why?

I much prefer a rural destination because I enjoy Nature, a slower pace, and a space where communication, lifestyle, family and nature are honored above money. Rural destinations seem to preserve unique cultures and what they have to offer, Where is cities seem to homogenize people and culture.

What do you worry about?

I worry about the pollution of our water. Specifically huge corporations buying water sources and putting our water into plastic which is polluting our earth. There is another way Yet our hands and our future are tied by several corporations who don’t understand what they are doing to our planet.

What brings you great joy?

Seeing my children smile and feeling great full that they are happy and healthy. Seeing anyone smile. Clean water. Sunshine. These things bring me joy.
