Highly sensitive, a natural empath, healer, teacher and scribe, Darlene Green has followed her heart's direction in discovery of the sacred in life. After many years of spiritual practice and study, Darlene experienced an invitation by the Masters of the Council of Light to sit with them as scribe, daily, for one year and one day. The result is the extensive body of work that is In Service to Love, relayed through three books: In Service to Love Book 1: Love RememberedIn Service to Love Book 2: Love Elevated and In Service to Love Book 3: Love Now.

What period of history do you wish you knew more about?

The European renaissance has always fascinated me. The socio-political turmoil of the time went hand in hand with innovation that expanded arts and culture. Michaelangelo, is a particular figure of interest to me. His genius, creativity, and influence are still appreciated to this day. I see the time we live in now as a renaissance. The upheaval and turmoil offer an opening to something new that would not be possible without being willing to see our country, global role, and interconnectedness in a new way. I feel the door closing to the way life used to be and opening to new realms of opportunity that bring the possibility of wholeness, balance, equity, and peace. I have felt the incoming tide of transformation for many years. I see us moving forward as the collective of humanity to a new reality that recognizes our global connection and responsibility. I hold love and peace as possibilities.

Have you ever experienced Imposter Syndrome?

Yes. It walks beside me like a shadow. If the imposter syndrome is fraught with thoughts of doubt, fear of being seen, and fear of rejection, they are not far away. In my years of spiritual exploration, I have learned to shift my awareness beyond fear and toward a more soulful expression in response to an inner calling. So, although the concerns are not far away, I navigate life around them and choose to live my best life unhindered by my fears. Rather than falling prey to the least of my personality I choose to stand in the light of my own truth to the best of my ability. It is not a passive process.

Is there a work of art that you love. Why? Have you ever visited it in person?

I traveled to Rome and saw The Creation of Adam at the Sistine Chapel. The image resonates deeply with me. It is not only the hands of God in creation of man, but the act of creation, the space between the hands that captured my attention. I wanted to know about divine creation. It was the image on my first business card as I began work in the healing arts years ago and it is a picture that hangs in my office today.

Is there another profession you would like to try?

No. I have already spent time in my life being who I am not. Writing is the most authentic expression of who I Am. I find deep satisfaction and purpose with it. It is something that makes all the rest of my life make sense. As though every moment I have spent prior to this has been an integral contribution that has led me to now.

What brings you great joy?

Family, the Northwest and being a writer. I love each member of my family, and my friends beyond my ability to recount. The beauty of simple things in life is breathtaking to me. I appreciate the majesty of the Northwest, having spent fifty years here. The perspective I hold is one of Love, appreciation, and inspiration. As a scribe, I am following my soul’s purpose and that enhances every part of my life.
